Tiger Shark Encounter
One of the world's greatest shark diving experiences!
This expedition has been put together to centre around what has got to be
one of the most incredible shark diving experiences available in the world today.
Forget the great white shark cage diving - this encounter puts you in the
water with tiger sharks while they feed!
The tiger shark is considered one of the most aggressive sharks in coastal waters
and yet for a few years the specialists at Umkomaas have been diving with them,
learning their behaviour and are now offering this experience to a lucky few.
This is the encounter that is at the heart of an unforgettable week of unique shark diving.
The Expedition:
We will be based in Umkomaas in Kwazulu Natal (near Durban) while
experiencing some of the most adventurous shark diving one can find anywhere.
Depending on conditions, we will do 2 days diving on the Aliwal Shoal, one day
diving Protea Banks, and 2 days on the Tiger Shark dive. As a centrepiece to a
shark diving week, this is incomparable.
This expedition is available as a stand-alone tour or as an add-on to
the Sardine Run
or any other South African expedition.
